Welcome to Little tootles!

Hi, my name is Lucy, a fashion designer and Mum to Ellie.Elliebib2
As a baby Ellie was sick a lot and dribbled loads so I was always changing her bibs. I noticed you could only buy plastic bibs that were for feeding and the cloth bibs were very flimsy and would soak through to her clothes very easily. I came up with a design for a bib with that was both beautiful and practical.

IMG_3340 My bibs have four layers. A printed top layer, an absorbent layer and then a layer of water proof fabric followed by a cotton back. The absorbent layer soaks up the dribble and the waterproof layer stops it from reaching the clothing. I also designed the shape of the bib to fit perfectly. I found a lot of the bandana bibs gathered up too much under the chin, covering her mouth and not much of the clothing. My bibs are cut to fit around the neck with three possible sizes, using colourful press studs to compliment the pattern of the fabric. Even though my bibs have four layers they are still soft, lightweight and comfortable. They are wide across the shoulders to catch that enevitable side head turn. The bibs can be washed and tumble dried with your usual wash and will look great with any outfit.

I have worked as a fashion designer in Manchester for many years so it was exciting to use skills from my career and combine them with my new role as a Mum. Hope you find my bibs as wonderful as Ellie does.
